There are 4 types of deserts:
1.5 cm a year
animals: small nocturnal animals such as burrorowers and kangaroo rats
plants: yuccas, terpentine bushes, and ephedras
2-4 cm of rain per year
animals: kangaroo rats, rabbits, and skunks
plants: brittle bushes, bur sage, and white thorn
measures about 8-13 cm of rain annually in many areas
animals: lizards, toads, bald eagles, and coyotes
plants: rice grass, black sage, and buck wheat bushes
precipitation of about 15-26 cm annually
animals: jack rabbits, kangaroo rats, and the kit fox
plants: deciduous plants
- hot and dry ex:(Chihuahuan, Sonoran, Mojave and Great Basin)
